Pigmented lesions treated by Ellipse IPL & lasers

Pigmented lesions

Remove benign epidermal pigmented lesions quickly and gently

Benign pigmented lesions may be genetic in origin or may be caused by physical damage such as sunburn or injury, as well as the natural effect of ageing. The lesions can vary in size and colour. It is always important to ensure that the lesion is not malignant before removing it.

Clinically proven, safe and effective

Ellipse treatments offer clinically proven, long-term removal of pigmented lesions in the upper layer of skin.

How does the Ellipse SWT pigmented lesion treatment work?

Ellipse treatment works by directing pulses of light into the epidermis. The light is absorbed by melanin which is concentrated in the pigmented lesions.
Melanin converts the light energy into heat. This heat is used to destroy the keratinocatos in which the melanin is stored. This technique is called "Selective Photothermolysis”.
The visible light produced by the Ellipse systems is carefully controlled to produce the correct pulse length and wavelengths energy to destroy the target without damaging surrounding tissue.

“My choice of the ELLIPSE I²PL is based on collegial recommendations. Decisive were the superior results compared with any Alexandrite laser. This is related to dual mode filtering and true square pulse technology of the Ellipse. Running costs are exceptionally low, compared to other IPL systems."

Dr J. Louw, 3 Dorset Place, Vincent, East London, 5247, South Africa

"Using the Ellipse Flex system I can provide fast and efficacious hair removal treatments. With the large spot size, I can treat patients quickly minimizing treatment times. Skin rejuvenation treatments using the Flex System are simple to perform and the patient satisfaction levels are among some of the highest of all the treatments in my practice. In many cases after a single treatment, patients notice an appreciable difference in their skin"
